the first week and as is the usual
rule the department of justice at
tracted a lar^re crowd to the city.
Heretofore tw<i weeks have i;«neral
Jy been reserved f)T the trial of
•criminal cases, but on account of a
decrease in this kind of business
one week only will be devoted to
criminal matters this term.
As the time for district court to
convene draws near Clerk Burleson
and Deputy Keinble are kept busy
filing suits and issuing citations.
Attorneys have been tfiven notice
that September 17 is the las', lay of
•ervice and they must file their
«ruits before that date if they expect
the sheriff to obtain service for
them. The grand jury and petit
jury lists have been prepared and
the sheritt will be^in summoning
jurors within the next few days.
