Jane 28 and 2!) will be great days for Waxahachie. There will be an immense crowd of people here on those days, for the Waxahachie Camp of Woodmen will entertain the Woodmen of Ellis. Hill, Navar ro, Kaufman, Rockwall and other counties composing the Log Rolling association of Central Texas. There are ten counties in all, and they represent at least twenty-five thousand Woodmen. If you have not attended a lo< rolling, you cannot fully appreciate what it means; but we wish to get some of its prominent features he fore you In advance. Millsboro and Corsicana have each entertained the association; and we are warranted from information received from those cities in saying that not less than twenty thousand people will attend uûrÎû^ ilic two UJJ 3 of our entertainment. Not only will the crowd be a large one, but it will representative in its make-up. Woodcraft draws its material from every vocation and calling, and it uses keen discrimina tion in selecting its members. We have selected a time when the farmers will be sufficiently through with ttieir work, to take two days off for recreation aud amusement; and Woodmen believe in cultivating the social virtues, so that they will be here in full force, with their families and friends. Waxahachie tnnst entertain them in a maimer in keeping with the record she has made in other matters of a similar character. Many old citizens from the Did States may know what an old time lo>r roiling means, but we want to show you wt.at a modern lo^ rolling means. Elm Camp tias decided to make tiie occasion a great succcess. We promised this much to the other Camps, when we obtained their con sent to come here. Other cities wanted it, but we told them Waxa harhie was entitled to it, and we made them believe it. Now, we shall expect the liberal assistance of all our citizens in pro viding tie means to entertain our visitors We expect to put on a program of such hiarh standard and variety, that every oy#> who comes will go away proclaiming the pre eminence of WaxumacMe for hospi tality. taste aud business push. While the primary purpose '»f t e meeting Is n<>t to advertise, it will famish a rare occasion to show surr< undine counties what »ve here, and will, we ti ink, prove a fruitful advertisement for every line of business in our eity. Feei ng this way, w> .shall η·>1 hesitnte to ask all for assistance in raising the funds necessary to meet inci dental expenses. Later on our fi nance committee will rail on you, and we trim you will h· ready with a liberal contributi in. Respectfully, Osce Goodwin, R. R. Hendricks, J as. S Davis, J . VV'. M C M au u s, S. P.
