The democratic county convention to elect delegates to the state con vention to be held at San Antonio for the purpose of «ending delegates to the national convention at St. Louis is in session this afternoon in the district court room. Several precincts in the county failed to hold conventions last Sat urday and for that reason the at tendance is light. The temporary organization of the convention precipitated quite a live ly scrap. Mayor John H. Sharp of Knnis was nominated for chairman by the Parker supporters, while Dr. J. C. Loggins was placed In nomi nation by those delegates who fa vored an nninsfructed delegation to San Antonio. In the call of the pre cincts Stiarp received .'KJ votes and Dr. Loggitis JU. A credentials com mittee composed of Judge Lancas ter, C. M. fianner and J. H. James was then aj pointed. When this ! committee reports the convention will go Into permanent organization. The fight in the convention over the instruction of the delegation to San Antonio promise» to be a lively one, but a Parker victory is prac tically assured. Driven To Desperation.
