He recovered about $23 of the stolen money. The clew which led to the arrest of the ' boys was obtained at Arthur Mark ov's bicycle shop, where it was learn led that the boys had purchased a wheel, it was also ascertained that the boys spent part of the money f a target rifle at the Oldham Hard ware company's store. With this in formation in his possession Marshal Dixon started out to look for the boys. He soon met one of them ridia=. rhe wheel purchased with part of the saving bank's contents The officer accosted him with the statement tha· his companion had "peached" and iccused him of the crime "That's a lie." declared the young wheelman.
