S
Hour of the Speaking
The hour for the Cone Johnson
speaking was set for 430 for several
reasons First it was deemed the
most convenient hour for the speaker
and for those who would wish to hear
him The shop people get out at 4
these afternoons and it will enable
them to hear the speaker Second it
will enable those who live in the
country to attend the speaking and
get back to their homes early in the
evening and third Mr Johnson is
bound to take his leave on an early
west bound train in order to meet
his other appointments The opera
house was secured as the largest
available hall and as it will hold some
fifteen hundred people a great num
ber can hear the speaker Everything
will be made as comfortable as pos
sible This house is susceptible of
being well ventilated the acoustcs
are splendid and the speaker can be
heard without unusual effort having
to be made on his part The several
weeks campaign has been seveie on
the speakers throat and he made the
request that he be not forced to
speak in the open air
His Palestine reception will be
made anotable affair and the friends
of Mr Johnson will do everything pos
sible to make it one of the best of
the campaign
