control and regulation of fraternal in
surance companies will become an
accomplished fact before long if plans
discussed here today by a joint com
mittee of the Associated Fraternities
6TAmerica and the National Frater
nal Congress are carried out The
two organizations which control be
tween them virtually all of the fra
ternal companies in the country have
long been at loggerheads on the ques
tion of uniform legislation Through
the efforts of the National Association
of Insurance Commissioners they
have been induced to work together
to secure the adoption of the uniform
bill for the regulation of the fraterrtal
companies and they will cooperate in
efforts to have the state legislatures
enact the desired legislation at their
sessions this winter
