For Opening Kiowa
Reservation.
We ans often asked when will
i he Kiowa aud' Comanche reser
vation open. In answer to this
we do no more thau quote from
the. law passed by the last con
ri-HS arid approved by the Presi
dent June C, 1900. That law

That all allotments of aaid land
hhall be made under the direction
of the Secretary of the Interior to
raid Indians within ninety days
irotn the passage of this Act, sub
ject to the exceptions contained
hi article fuor of said treaty; pro
vided, That the time for making
ulloUneiitH shall in no event be
extended beyond six months from
passage of thia Act.
Another question that is often
r.sked nt: Will townsites be
established and surveyed when
the laud ia opened for settle
ments. In answer to this we
again quote the law.

the Hecretary of the Interior, the
