It "aa tbe Intention of the officials It, open it on August, 1, bat for some reason it has been delayed nntil the return ofSnpt Tinsman from Chicago. The new time card is now being printed at tbe Daily Express office in Cuicka sha and h will be Issued within tbe course of a few days at most. This branch was built jointly by tb Rock Island and Santa Fe railroads, to form a connecting link between the two syatems and facil itate passenger traftio over the two lines. Last fail the San:a Fe built the line from Pauls Valley to Lindsay, completing it by the latter part of September. The Rook Island also built tbe embank ment from Chickasba to Lindsay, iu half of the road, bat did not lay tbe steel until this spring. Everything was in readiness to open the road for traffic oiJune 15. Then the disastrous floods cams and practically washed out the road from Chickasba to Lindsay. Thousands of dollars of damage were piled up against tbe Rock Island company. Nothing dauDted, tbey went to work imme diately to rebuild the hoe, and now have it in such shape that they will be able to pat on a thorough train service soon. Tbe line runs thorough tbe very heart of the richest conntry in the Chickasaw Nation. The entire distance from Cbickasba to Pauls Valley is sixty-live miles, but tbe Roca Jlsland will operate its trains only to Lindsay, where tbe Santa Fe will take up the1 tratlic into Pauls Valley. For the present hut two trains a day will be operated, a mixed freight and passenger, leaving Chickasba at 6:30 a. m. arriving at Lindsay st 9:30. Returning, the train will leave Lindsay at 10.15 a. m ar riving at Chickasba at 12 43 p. m. Owing to tbe condition of the roadbed since tbe wasbonts were replaced the trains will not be able to nake good time, but this will be remedied as soon as the tracks is in bettsr shape. The cptniog of thu road gtves Cbickaaha a new avenue cf trade, as it is the only town of impor tance on (he line outside of Taul& Valley. It is a veiy rich country, and a section which wilt be settled very rapidly. .
