MANY APPLICATIONS FOR SEED.
R. M. Evans reports many applica
tions for seed corn received at the
Chamber of Commerce office from the
boys over the county who are taking
up the boys' club work. Twenty-five
letters were received yesterday from
different points in the county. , No ap
plications have been made for cotton
yet.

LANDS ARE APPOINTED.

appraisers of the segregated surface
lands cf the Choctaw and Chickasaw

Mrs. John Calloway of Caldwell,
Kan., who has been visiting her sister,
Mis. J. E. Dickson, returned home to
day. Mrs. Henry Frey is entertaining her
sister, Mrs. J. Thompson of Marlow,
this week.

CLOSES GOOD MEETING.
Ninnekah, April , Elder J. L. Rea,
the "Cowboy" evangelist, has just
closed a week's meeting at Coffielt
school district, which resulted in the
organization of a union Sunday school
with a large attendance.
This meeting has been a blessing to
many homes in this community, and
with grateful hearts we would say to

annually for five years to aid
the state and local committees in the
improvements of public roads. Tho

roads and rural delivery routes through
the co-operative and joint action of th
national government and the several
states in which such roads mayo be
established.

The Humphrey orchestra is enjoying
a busy season and will have four en
gagements this week, three in this
city and one if El Reno. This musi
cal organization is becoming recog- j

Last night the Humphrey musicians
furnished the music at the Yeoman
dance at the A. O. U. W. hall. There
was a good crowd present and a very
enjoyable evening spent. Wednesday
evening the men of the orchestra will
go to El Pumio to play at the II. O. It.
T. dance and Thursday night they will
furnish the music at the Knights of
Columbus dance. Friday niglit they
will play for the Court of lienor dance
at the Knights of Pythias hall.
