primary at which time you nominated
me sheriff of Grady' county.
I made a clean campaign, and bold
no hard feelings ugainst a$one who
saw proper to oppose me for re-nomination
and sincerely hope that the
same feeling exists in the breast of
those who did not vote for me. I did
not get to make the campaign that I
had intended owing to pressing busi
ness in the office, and sickness, and
the magnificent vote which I received
makes me appreciate the same beyond
expression.
As the Democratic nominee tor
sheriff, I intend to make a good cam
paign between now and the general
election, and if re-elected I have one
thing to promise the citizens, which is
