Ophir Mill Tf»t During the past week a mill teat I has bwn made on twenty-one tons «ria* of Ophir ore, and the result ex eedbd tlie expectations of even those who thought they were famil iar with the mine from grass roots to the bottom, 240 feet. The ore was assorted and was low-grade or third-class as compared with tons the dump that have been taken from the lower level in the mine. The run was made at Jake Heeser's lii-stump mill in this town, two Frue vanners being used in connec tion with the ten stamps, and they succeeded in saving about 1,000 pounds of concentrates that assay »»4 away up in value. The clean-up was made last Wednesday after noon, and tlie bullion obtained was $450, or over $20 per ton. The re sult is one that has caused Foreman Oglesby to be well pleased. He states that there are at present over seven hundred tons of ore on the dump, all of which is richer than that used in the test just made, and that there is plenty more in tlie mine.
