Payne will depart this evening for a visit with her mother at Louisville, Kentucky. Miss Pauline Davison departed yesterday morning lor Weiser, where she will enter the Weiser Academy. Harry Hughes, the popular re presentative of the house of B. H. Coleman & Co., Boise, spent Tues day night in this place. There is a rumor afloat that wo men who register and vole must pay poll tax. This is a falsehood and is being circulated for an object by goldbugs. Mrs. R. P. Chattin went to Mid dleton yesterday as a delegate to the Baptist Association which convenes a t that place to-day, and Mrs. Glenn followed by this morning's train. Several incidents occurred in the Silver Republican convention lust Tuesday of which we would like toi speak in this issue, hut time and space forbids it until another issue, of the Bulletin, However such transactions will keep for a few Weeks for publication. We have neither time nor space this week to speak of the individual merits of the candidates for countv positions on the silver ticket. But scan it from top to bottom and you must acknowledge that it is com posed of good material and deserv ing of the warm support of every eilver mau and woman in Elmore county. R. T. Tustin, manager of the Daisy mine and mill at Pine Grove, Was a visitor here Tuesday and was a formidable candidate for the Democratic nomination fur State Senator. Mr. Tustin is an experi enced and aille mine manager and genial gentleman and will doubtless in the near future figure prominent ly in the political affairs of Elmore county. The Bulletin evidently stepped heavily upon the corns of some "one horse capitalist" last week, to judge by his squeal made in his organ. Squeal on, but what we said about the goldbugs "buying outright the offscourings of the earth and intimi dating the poor unfortunate laborer is true, the assertions and ravings of the fellow to the contrary not withstanding. The Baptist church was dedicated last evening by Rev. L. G. Clark assisted by Rev. McRevnolds of Boise and Rev. Mason of die Con ^relational church of this place, The members of the Baptist church deserve much praise and credit for the building Of this new church. It ° 1 .. is a neat and commodious structure and was built solely by faithful members assisted by kind friends. They did not call on the Building Association for assistance but banded themselves together and worked Independently. Regular ser vices will be held in this church once a month.
