Elmer Osborn Again Gets Contract Word was received here last week from the postoffice department at Washington, D. C„ to the effect that the contract for the hauling of the mail on the Bonners Ferry-Porthill route had been let to Elmer Osborn, of Copeland. Mr. Osborn was award ed the contract on the first call for j bids several weeks ago and then all bids were rejected on account of the change in the regulation governing the j weight of parcels post packages. The j present contract was awarded on his j bid of $2,000 per year on a four year contract. There were five or six bids j tendered. i Mr. Osborn has purchased a new ! Dodge car for the mall and passenger I route he will commence the first of j July and he states that he will try to I improve the time for the trip between j Bonners Ferry and Porthlll. D. H.
