The county includes a large portion of the Kootenai Val ley, the most fertile district of the world. Cutover lands may be pur chased on long time contracts at from 310 to 325 per acre. Bottom and mead ow lands sell for from 39 to $60 per acre. There are many hundreds of acres of agricultural land in Boundary county which will make fine homes for the energetic farmer. Millions of feet of timber remain uncut and the rivers and creeks may be easily harnessed to give thousands of horsepower. Raw material In quantities to last 100 years, for .paper pulp, may be found in the county and this timber Is easy of ac cess. The mining industry is yet In its Infancy. Sufficient capital would put only one of a dozen mines on a dividend-paying basis. The climate Is ideal, the rainfall all that is needed. No Irrigation In this district. Good roads, good schools. Plenty of trans portation facilities. Bonners Ferry Idaho is the county seat of Boundary county and la located on two transcontinenal railways, the Great Northern and Spo kane International. Bonners Ferry Is the head of navigation on the Koote nai river. It is the terminal of the Kootenai Valley railway, which runs to Foothill, close to the Canadian boun dary line. Bonners Ferry has three fine, mod ern school buildings and an efficient corps of teachers. Seven religious de nominations are represented and near ly all of the best lodges have organi zations. The city is well supplied with all kinds of business houses which car ry large stocks of merchandise. The citizens of Boundary county and Boners Ferry are energetic and wide-awake and are willing and anx ious to encourage the coming of new settlers in the county.
