Clark and Lamb have started to take the large boiler into the Thunder Mountain mine on Crook ed river. The boiler weighs about 9,000 pounds. Marchait Chenenweth has moved into Elk City and will engage in fanning on the Natwick ranch. Jack Woods is out from the up per Red River Country where lie has bought part of what was the old Dewitt ranch. P. L. O' Ban non tins taken a load of merchandise to OroGrande people. Frank Peck of the South Fork mine is a visitor at Clearwater. Mr. Peck is a large owner of the South Fork mine, from which a large amount of rich ore was shipped to the smelter at Tacoma, by the former owner, E E. Esby. The ore was packed by horses to the stage road and hauled from there to the railroad and after all expenses were paid something over $100 per ton was realized. Scroggins, who has been con nected with the bank of Ilo for the past two years, was at a recent meeting voted out of his job and his place filled by R. Anderson.
