The New Cottonwood. The writer was in Cottonwood the last of the week and found that prosperous town going right ahead. After the fire had swept that place this year it was the prediction of the Free Press that while the loss was considerable and would tie by the good people oi the leadiug city of the Prairie, the spirit of the people was such that from the ashes would arise a better aud greater Cottonwood. Our predie tion has come true as a visit to that town today will show more and better business houses at the preseut than before the fire. Many brick buildings have been put up and more are in the course of con structiou. and all of her citizens loyal. Business is excellent are most Cottonwood will make a city aud there is no use denying the fact for fact it is. Besides its . ideal location it has a population ? ,eo P* e of P afdl and energy. tv atcb Cottonwood reach the two thousand mark in another year. Stranger Dies. A carpenter by the name of Rotiert A. McCurdy, who was era ployed outlie warehouses over at Cottonwood, passed away last week after an illness of several days from pneumonia. According to papers on the dead man he had a brother at Selma. Alabama, and a telegram sent to that place replied to. undertaking rooms of Bailor & Me Donald of this city awaiting final disposition. was The bodv is at the Why Colds are Dangerous Because you have contracted ! ordinary colds and recovered from ; them without treatment of any kind, imagine that colds are not danger ous. Every one knows that pneu feltjmocia and chronic catarrh have their origin in a common cold, Consnmpton is not caused by a cold but the cold prepares the system for the reception and de velopment of the germs that would not otherwise have found lodgment. It is the same with all infectious diseases. Diphtheria, scarlet fever, measles and hooping cough are much more likely to be contracted when the child has a do not for a moment cold. \ T ou will see from this that more real danger lurks in a cold than in any other of the com mon ailmeuts. The easiest and quickest way to cure a cold is to take Chamberlain's Cough Remedy, The many remarkable cures effect edliv this preparation have made a it staple article of trade over a largo part of the world.
