Brad- l ley, chairman of the republican state | central committee, has issued the fol- '■ lowing statement relative to the cam paign in Idaho: "The conventions have been held in every county of tile stale and the can diotes nominated on the county tick- ; ets are strong everywhere. The county organizations are now com pleted and their work is progressing splendidly. "Dubois' American party move ment lias proven a complete lizzie, and from present indications it will die entirely out before election day. "The people realize the importance and necessity of electing a republican legislature. A vote for a democratic legislator means a vote against Mr. Borah, and the people of the state propose that Mr. Borah shall be our next state senator. Governor Gooding is gaining strength every day and is going to be elected by an overwhelming major ity. The people do not propose to swap horses in the midie of the stream, and they are going to give Governor Gooding a vote of confidence that wll let the world know that Ida ho appreciates good service at the hands of an executive." i I j ! Coterie Disgruntled Politicians Pocatello Tribune Jake Horn has sold out his Boise "Republican" to the Ada county "con fusionists." The "eonfusionists" are a coterie of bolters from both parties. Were they of sufficient numbers they might succeed in disrupting both the democratic and republican parties, but they are merely a handful and will have little or no effect on this election. Tehy will accomplish noth ing, not even for themselves. The. man who can't be a republican or a democrat after his particular faction has gone down to defeat is of little use to either party, and will accoriip lish little tow-ard purifying politics, Persistent work for pure politics. The latter, furious with jeal ousy, rushed off with the informant to the girl's house the same night and demanded admission, threatening to break open the door. The panic stricken girl opened the door, but had the presence of mind to extinguish the light first, then slipped behind the door and darted through, while the maddened lover, who was armed with a long knife, rushed into the darkened room. Striking blindly about him, he plunged his weapon into the body of his friend Gundlflnger. who fell mor tally wounded. Dunz then fled, but was pursued and captured. Railway Surgeons in Session.
