Orofino, Idaho. April 12th, 1922.
The Board of County Commis
sioners met pursuant to adjourn
ment of yesterday, all members of
the Board being present, the fol
lowing business was transacted, to
wit: Minutes of yesterday read and
approved.
The reports of Dan Dunwell and
Nils Olson, road overseers, exam
ined and approved.
In the matter of the County
printing it is agreed that the con
tract with the Clearwater Repub
lican be extended to the second
Monday in January, 1923, with the
following amendments, to-wit:
It is further agreed by the party
of the first part that all notices
required to be published by law by
the party of the second part where
in tabulated or leader work is re
quired shall be charged for at the
rate of one and one-half times the
rate of ordinary proceedings or no
tices, to-wit: 10 1-2 cents per line
for single column measure or 21
cents per line for double column
measure, and pro rata for larger
measures, excepting for tabulated
or leadered matter appearing In
the regular minutes of the County
'Board In way of expense bills al
lowed, which matter shall be charg
ed for at the contract rate; the
method of determining the number
of lines being by measuring the
depth of the matter as appearing In
columns of paper in inches, and
multiplying this number by number

In the matter of the petition of
C. A. Pittwood and others for the
appointment of J. P. Johnson as
road overseer, no action is taken.
In the matter of the application
of Ella Wlsner and Lorene John=on
for County Aid, it is ordered that
the Probate Judge take care of the
actual needs of those people until
the next meeting of the Board.
Mrs. Lorene Johnson is allowed
the sum of $15.00 temporary relief,
the Auditor is directed to Issue
County Warrant for same this date.

of Clearwater.
No bid will be considered unless
accompanied by a certified check,
on some bank in the State of Idaho,
made payable to the County Treas
urer, in the amount of five per cent
of the total amount of the bid.
This certified check is to become
the property of Clearwater County,
not as a penalty but as liquidated
damages, if the bidder, upon ac
ceptance of his bid, fails or refuses
to enter into a contract, or to fur
nish the required surety bond, with
in ten days (not including Sunday)
after presentation of the contract
by the Board of County Commis
sioners for execution.

authorized to do business in the
State of Idaho, and satisfactory to
the Board of County Commissioners
will be required for the faithful
performance of the contract, in the
sum of fifty (50) per cent of the
total amount of the contract price.
It is the purpose of the Board of
County Commissioners to build the
road in the shortest time consistent
with good construction, and complete
and well designed equipment and
effective organization will be in
sisted upon.
