Invitations were printed this week at this office announcing a grand Easter ball and supper at the opera house on Monday April 24th. * B. C. Bowers and family are moving in from the country. Ben ny don't appear very sorry that he is to become a city gent again, either. A. C. Larson, of Driggs, was down to the county seat Monday and appeared before the board of county commissioners with a peti tion for a road near bis place. Josenh Gale one of Driggs, prominent citizens and Sam Merrill of the same place, were in the city on business before the county com missioners the forepart of the week. James Smith has commenced the construction of a 25x40 foot brick business house just north of the Egin canal on Bridge Street. The building will be used for a confec tionery store. C. C. Moore and H. G. Fuller were up at Squirrel Creek the fore part of the week looking after their farming lands. They report every body in that country enthusiastic and hard at work. Messrs. Clark and Houghton are putting in nearly 400 acres of grain this season on their big ranch just south of town. These men are the most extensive farmers, so far as we know, in Fremont county. A quartet of the sports are con templating a trip to Lucky Dog ranch in Island Park next week. The problem yet to be solved is the best means of transporation, wheels, runners or a boat. It's a little dry on this end but it's likely to get mighty wet on the other. The brick are now being hauled on the ground for the veneering of the new Studebaker Wagon Com pany's building. The south part of Bridge street will present quite metropolitan appearance before the summer is over on account of the new business houses now being constructed and those that are con templated. J. E. Fogg, who has been in Salt Lake for several days attending conference, returned home Satur day. He says he had a very pleas ant trip, and that there were more Saints in the City of Zion than he ever saw before. Mr. Fogg says Frankie and Freddie are struggling along trying to gain some promi nence in Utah, but no attention is paid them down there. Harry C. Bucklin of the hard ware firm of Tyler and Bucklin of Idaho Falls, was in the city over Sunday on business and also on a visit with his brother-in-law, Z. F. Yearian and family. Mr. Bucklin Fremont county tax although he is in business at the Falls. He is the possessor of a very fine ranch in the Camas Meadows country. Chas Foster and Lorenzo Jeffs both of Bates, Teton Basin, were arrested last week and taken before Justice F. M. Moylen, of Driggs, on a charge of stealing 40 head of sheep from W. W. Talor of Driggs. County attorney. O. P. Soule conducted the hearing in behalf of the state, and succeeded in getting both parties bound over to the Dis trict court in the sum of $750 each. Attorney F. M. Holden appeared in behalf of the defendants. payer j Dahie-Boothe. Albert H. Dahle, of Teton City and Miss Libbie A. Boothe, of St. Anthony, were united in the holy bonds of matrimony on Monday of this week, at Salt Lake Citv. Angus M. Cannon performing the ceremony. The young couple will make Salt Lake City their future home. Mr. and Mrs. Dahle have many friends in Fremont county, who heartily congratulate them and wish them a long life of usefulness; and happiness. 1 Eye Specialist.
