Mr. and Mrs. W. R. Leach stayed over night in Blackfoot last Wednes day. Henry Rerg was a Blackfoot visitor last Wednesday. The dance given at the L. D. S. church Tuesday night for the benefit of the base ball team was well at tended and very much enjoyed by ail Mrs. L. M. Rich was at the switch board a few days this week during the sickness of the Crlddle children. Hugh Line made a business trip to Blackfoot Tuesday. Harvey Blackburn and party re port their arrival at Los Angeles. Several people from here attended the shooting match at Sterling, bring» lng back six fine turkeys into our neighborhood. Francis Roylance, Bob Stone and Jim White won a turkey apiece while Signor Christensen re turned with three. Mrs. Walter Bringhurst returned from Pocatello Thursday and is great ly Improved since her recent opera tion. Several from here attended the dance at Sterling Thursday night. Mr. and Mrs. A. L. Shelman left on Friday for Asotin, Washington, where they will visit their sA>, CFeorge and family. Mr. and Mrs. Shelman were early settlers in onr comunlty and will be greatly missed. Robert Stone made a business trip to Blackfoot Friday. Judge are at home for the happy Yuletide. The school gave its annual Xmas program Friday night in the L. D. S. church. The crowd was large, well behaved and appreciative. The pro gram was entertaining and well pre pared. Santa Claus came in at the proper moment and distributed the presents from the tree. There was a well filled bag of candy for every child in the neighborhood and enough left over to treat the adults. School is to open the second day of the New Year. Jim Shelman was a visitor in the Grove City Saturday. Mr. and Mrs. Carl Blackburn and daughter, Otella are spending Xmas and the holidays in Blackfoot with Mrs. Blackburn's parents. Mr. Chris Thurston from Glenn's Ferry, reached home Saturday night to spend Sunday with his family. Dr. McKinnon was summoned to the home of Frances Roylance Christ mas eve as their Infant daughter was quite sick. Dr. O. K. Loomis is spending his holidays in Boise, the guest of H. K. Wiley and family. A. J. Snyder was the guest of Dr. Hoover over night Friday and while there attended a meeting of the Ma sonic order. Mr. and Mrs. Vero Chandler made a shopping trip to Bjackfoot Friday, and were entertained at the Beebe home. Signor Christensen motored to Blackfoot Friday and gave Santa Claus instructions for his trip. Very few families are escaping se vere colds in some form or other. Only three pupils were perfect in at tendance in the month of December. They were: Hannah Fackrell, Mor den Criddle and Evan Chaffin. Mr. and Mrs. Vero Chandler enter tained A. J. Snyder and family and II. V. Chandler and family at a seven o'clock dinner Xmas, eve. Mr. and Mrs. Claude Beasley ate Xmas dinner with Mr. and Mrs. Jim Whyte. Robert Stone and family were the guests at the home of C. Snyder on Xmas day. Mr. and Mrs. W. A. Edwards took Xmas dinner with Mr. and Mrs. .Toe Maxwell.
