The building will be used as offices when completed. ■ Dr. E. D. Shadday, of Saratoga. Ind iana, who has been the guest of Dr. and Mrs. T. O. Boyd, left last, evening for Portland, Oregon, Dr. Shadday will return later and locate in this city to take up his professional practice. Billy Bennett's big show struck town yesterday and gave the people an up to-date performance in the opera house, last night. Bennett travels in his own cars and hns a large band as one of the drawing cards to his show. G. W. Fell of Milner was in town for a short time Mondny^in consulta tion with the local members of the North side company. Mr. Fell is to have charge of the engineering work of the North side electric line. Th(: Pythian dramatic club are con templating putting oil their play again in a short time in order that, those who were unable to hear them last week may have the .opportunity. They also are thinking of going to Rupert at an early date.' A. E. Gross in getting out of his wagon last Friday, caught his foot the side step and fell in such a, manner as to injuxe his knee and ankle. At pres ent Mr. Gross is spending his spare moments in bed planning on setting out his ten acre tract in orchard, until such time as he can get around with the injured limb. The Cash Grocery on the first of this month changed hands, S. S. Neher re tiring from the firm. E. N. Flory the present manager and his brother F. T. Pat Hall had a chance to see how his clothes looked on the other fellow las 1 week when some light fingered gent stole in to Pat's boudoir and slid inside of bis Sunday clothes. When arrested the man was wearing the borrowed finery with easy assurance of an actor and besides had a big gun 10 his pocket which Pat says was not a part of his Sunday outfit. The man was given four months in the county jail. One of the pleasantest social events of recent date was the bridge party given by Mrs. George D. Mr. Moon af ter a careful investigation of the build ing trade in California has come to the conclusion that Twin Falls is the be«t town on earth. W. S. Mallory of Wiuston, Mo., ar rived in town tills week and will eutei the real estate business. Mr. Mallory has not yet secured his office quarters, but, will in a short time be out after the buyers with the rest of the army of real estate men. Woods & Thomas have this week se cured their automobile which they will use iu connection with their real estate business in taking the prospective buy ers out ou the tract. The auto is a hand some touring car manufactured by the Reo Car company of Lansing Michigan. Lester T. Wright of the Consolidated last >f the illness Wagon and Machine company tVed uesday received word of his father in Idaho Falls, and left immediately for that city, only to ar rive there too late to see his father alive. Corum and children had a very narrow escape from serious injury if not instant death a week ago Monday. Mr. Corum was driving a team hitched to a lumber wagon, while Mrs. Corum with a babe in her arms, and two young children were driving a spirited young colt hitched in the buggy on their way to Twin Falls. Mr. Corum discovered something amiss with his harness and had gotten out to make the repairs when he heard his wife's rig approach ing at a very rapid rate. Stepping out to the side he was paralyzed for the moment to see his wife still clasping the baby iu hei arms, being dragged in the wheels of the baggy, and the two child ren screaming with terror in the rig. By mighty eiïort Mr. Corum managed to grab one of the trailing reius and turn the colt into a fence. While Mrs. Ccr uin and her husband were severely bruised by being tangled in the wheels, yet they are thankful to escape with so slight injury, Friday evening April 3rd. Professor R. C. Thompson will deliver a lecture at the auditorium for the benefit, of the High School base ball boys. The subject of his lecture is ' 'George Rogers Clark and the Win ning of the old Northwest" .The school hoard has had the vacant lots cast of the school cleared and plowed for ba'l grounds, and the boys are entering into practice work with enthusiasm, object of tbe lecture is to buy suits for the boys and they need the hearty co operation of all our citizens. With good backing our team should be the best school team in this part of thu state. The An act that was not down cm the bills was the marriage of Roy Webb and Miss May Bell Brown, at Pocatello Monday, Miss Brown played the part of the Gypsy girl in the drama presented by the Rockland Dramatic Company bore Saturday night, and Mr. Webb ac companied the party here. After their arrival here they decided to get mar ried and Sunday left for Pocatello for that purpose. Monday a license was obtained and the ceremony performed. Mr. and Mrs. Webb returned here, pass ing a day or two with Mr. Webb's sister, Mrs. Barnard. Mr.iWebb is a well known young man of Rockland, who has been reared iu that locality. Miss Brown is a teacher in the Rockland school, a most estimable and intellegent young lady. Her parents reside at Albion.
