Miss Bertha Noel was down from Twin Falls Friday and spent the day at her ranch north of town. Miss Lora Schwing came over from Hollister Saturday and spent several days with friends and relatives. Amos Howard purchased a new Reo from the Buhl Auto Co. last Fri day. Dr. J. H. Murphy was in Twin Falls Tuesday looking after professional business. C. H. Owens and 0. A. Faris were business visitors in Twin Falls Sat urday. Guy Harvey, of Twin Falls, has ac cepted a position with the Lustier Mercantile company. A baby girl was born on Sunday, July 4th to Mr. and Mrs. Chas. Turner. Frank Stapley, of Pocatello, was in the city between trains Tuesday, vis iting friends. Mr. and Mrs. F. D. Hartwell, of Roseworth, were visitors in Buhl the last of the week. Senator J. H. Mays, of Salt Lake City, paid a visit to his ranch at Crys tal Springs last week. G. H. Tucker left Tuesday morning on a business trip to Jarbidge. C. G. Elison, of Oakley, spent Tues day night in Buhl, visiting with his son, Ross Elison. R. C. Morse has begun the erection of a new house on the corner of Ninth and Linden streets. Mr. and Mrs. Amos Howard autoed to Hollister Saturday for a visit with relatives. Bower and Hatfield purchased the band of sheep owned by W. M. Good hue the first of the week. Judge Uhrlaub came up from his ranch at Riverside yesterday with load of apricots. Miss Pearl Newlan spent Wednes day and Thursday of last week vis iting friends in Twin Falls. The Philathea class of the Filer Mennonite church spent Saturday pic nicing at Clear Lake. Mrs. Ward and daughter, Gurley, made a business trip to Twin Falls Saturday. Chas. Haines purchased the Over land car formerly owned by Dr. Weth erbee. W. A. Forrest, of the Golden Rule store, spent the Fourth in Idaho Falls visiting his family. Mr. and Mrs. F. B. Carson were in Twin Falls Monday visiting with rel atives and attending the celebration. Miss Ruth Graybill, of nier, and Mrs. Ralph Musser, of Gooding, are visiting with Mrs. E. B. Kendrick for a couple of days. Ed. Thompson, who has been vis iting his brother, Geo. Thompson, for the past few weeks, left Saturday for his home in Belvidere, Neb. Mr. and Mrs. Wm. Donnelly, of Twin Falls, and Mr. and Mrs. Chas. Kalina and children spent Sunday and Mon day at Riverside. J. E. Barrett, of Logan, Utah, was In this city for a few days the first of the week looking after property interests. Mr. and Mrs. R. E. Winans moved the first of the week into the Theo. Merryweather residence on 8th ave nue. a Miss Gertrude Nelson, of Salt Lake, arrived Friday to spend the summer with her friend. Miss Gladys Weten kamp. Mr. and Mrs. Sidney DeShaw spent a couple of days the first of the week at the home of Mr. DeShaw's parents in Rock Creek. John Skillern and son, F. H. Skil lern, of Boise, autoed through Buhl Sunday en route for Rogerson, where they are going to buy wool. Mr. and Mrs. E. A. Dickey returned Wednesday from Shoshone, where they spent the 4th with Mr. and Mrs. Moe of that city. Mrs. Dickey has been visiting in Shoshone for the past three weeks. Misses Irene and Mable Woodward Clara Hargis, Vivian Hart, and Mil dred Morris spent Sunday at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Smiley. I. C. Thompson and family moved in to the house on lower Broadway this week which he recently purchased from T. M. McGinnis. Mr. and Mrs. Jesse Stratford, of Ogden, and Mr. and Mrs. R. M. Hays spent Sunday and Monday at River side. Atty. A. W. Ostrom, accompanied by his brother, R. E. Ostrom, de parted the latter part of last week for a trip to Denver, Omaha, Chi cago and up Into Minnesota. Messrs. Rudolph Kunze, Farlinger White, John Methven and son. Perry, returned Sunday from a trip to Idaho Falls and vicinity, where they were looking for homesteads. Walter Ames and family, of Golden Valley, Wyo., were here last Thurs day on a sight seeing trip. They have been visiting with friends in Twin Falls. Mr. and Mrs. Walter Hutson and family returned to their home In Po catello Sunday, after spending sev eral days here with Mr. and Mrs. A. R. Hutson. Mr. and Mrs. Chas. Snyder, Mr. L. K. Moore and Mr. and Mrs. N. O. Thompson left Saturday on an auto mobile trip to Hailey, Galena Summit and Guyer Hot Springs. They re turned home Monday night.
