TO THE VOTERS IN SEVENTH SENA TORIAL DISTRICT Gentlemen: I was unanimously nomi nated by tin? Democratic Dis trict Convention at Hinton on September 29th for oilice of State Senator for this dis trict and desire to announce my candidacy, and solicit your good wishes and votes on election day. The convention, recog nizing iny wishes, re strained from instructions, thereby leaving me untram melled to act, if elected, as my conscience approves for the best interests of the peo ple of the district irrespect ive of party. L appreciate this expression of confi dence, and promise that same was not misplaced. I believe* the cardinal prin ciples of Democracy, Home rule, sound money, and tax ation only for public pur poses, as founded by Jeffer son, best for the people, and will advocate requisite state laws governing its indus tries, without appeals to the general government, ’ and will also advocate that the levy of county taxes, be they much or lit, tie, be left to the counties and such taxes, in cluding licenses, be used solely for county purposes. I hope to make a canvass of each voting precinct in the district and discuss is sues with the people. In the event that I am not able to carry out Ihe program, I will apprecietc suggestions from any citizen. Very Truly Yours, JATRUS COLLINS. Bramwell, \V. Va. Oct. Htli i.onr?
