MAKE TpTlURS
JI IMJK TAFT TO TAKE AN AC
TIVE PART IN THE CAMPAIGN
Cincinnati. O., Sept. 17.—Judge
William H. Talt will make three
campaign tours. His first will be
gin here September 23 and end Oc
tober 7 at Galesburg, Hi. The trip
will take him through Wisconsin.
Minnesota, North and South Dako
ta, Iowa, Nebraska, Colorado, Kan
sas and Missouri.
The second trip which will be
arranged in detail later, will take
him into Kentucky, Tennessee, and
possibly North Carolina.
The last trip will be in the east.
New York city will be visited and
a speech will be made in the north
ern part of the Empire state. It
lias b eu decided that New England
4vH1 not be included in this trip, but
speeches will be made in Maryland
Pennsylvania West Virginia and
Ohio.
This plan of the campaign for the
Republican pr sldential candidate
was decided on yesterday at an Im
portant conference between Judge
Taft. Chairman Hitchcock and the
Republican .national committee;
donator Dixon of Montana, direct
or of the western speakers’ bureau:
Charles Nage|( national committee
man from Missouri, and in charge
of the Chicago Republican head
quarters; Robert A. Balinger, mem
ber from Washington of the adviso
ry committee, and A. L. Vorys.
TO THE VOTERS OF
/ MERCER COUNTY.
I was recently nominated by the
Prohibition party for the office of
c!ork of th 5 county court of this
county. Prior to my nomination.
Mr. R. N. Vermillion had been nom
inated for the same office by the
Democratic party. Mr. Vermillion
>s a dry man and opposed to th *
liquor traffic, and to the manufact
ure and sale of intoxicating liquors.
He stands for the Kame principles
along this line that I do. As I
am not in this race for personal
gain or personal honor,, but for
principle I do not think 1 should
embnrrass his candidacy by remain
ing before the people. It would
only divide the vote of those who
think the same way and who would
cast a solid and united vote in this
great cause, and would add to the
chances of our common opponent
I have, therefore, gent to the chair
man of the Prohibition party my 1
resignation as a candidate for this
office, and 1 take this method of in
forming the public of the same, f
earnestly urge upon all my friends
and upon all thO voters of Mercer
county to cast their ballots for Mr.
Vermillion knowing that when they
do so they vote for the cause for
which I stand, and secure the
strength, that always comes from
unity.

"Every nmn to am trade" la ar
old adage and la familiar to nearly
all or ua. It la brief in Its wording
but conveys a great deal In Its mean
ing. It Is merely a terse way of
tnying that a man who makes a spe
lalfy of nny one thing knows more
about, and Is more proficient In his
particular apeclalty than any one
else could be. It Is for this reason
that we all seek a specialist when
wo have any serious physical ail
ment. It la for the same reason that
The Ilydale Remedy Co. went to one
of thn beet specialists In the United
States on liver and Intestinal trou- j
bleB. a profepsor In a Columbus, O.. j
Medical College, and secured from
him a prescription from which Hy- !

This specialist knew more about liv

more quickly all liver troubles than
the ordinary liver pills and pow
