Pennsylvania is growing rapidly, hav
ing made a net increase of 1,135 mem

I The craft in Indian Territory has
raised $16,000 toward a fund for the
erection of an orphans' home. When
the fund reaches $50,000 the home will
be built
J. E. Marcombe, who has been ap
pointed press censor for the sultan of
Turkey, is grand secretary and li
brarian of the Iowa Masonic library,
the largest Masonic library In the
world.
The oldest living past grand high
priest of Missouri is Thomas E. Gar
rett. He was elected a grand high
priest in 1865.
i The Royal Masonic Institution For
Boys of England since its foundation
in 179S has cared for, educated and

Mayor of New York.
Seth Low. mayor of New York, who
for the third time has boon chosen the
standard bearer of the opponents of
Tammany Ilall in the fight for the con
trol of the municipality, has for many
years been in the limelight of publici
ty and has always shown himself to
be a man of the strictest integrity. Mr.
Low is a native of Brooklyn and a
graduate of Columbia university and
Is in his fifty-fourth year. He was
elected mayor of Brooklyn in 18S1 and
served four years.
