Alton B. Parker, the Democratic nominee for President, has spok en. He kindly and politely told the convention he was a gold standard man, and if he could not run on such a platform the convention could nominate an other candidate. We like a man who holds principles above the nomination of the highest office in the United States. ^Senator Henry G. Davis of this fetate, was nominated at a late hour Saturday night for the of iice of Vice President of the Uni ted States on the Democratic ticket. The people of this State will be more than pleased to have a gentleman from it nominated on the National ticket. The next Sheriff's name in this county will be William E. Kirch ner. f CAN'T BE SEPARATED. Some Sisters viflle People May Learn How To Get Rid of Both. Backache and kidney ache are twin brothers. You can't separate them. And you can't get rid of the backache until you cure the kid ney ache. If the kidneys are well and strong, the rest of the system is pretty sure to be in vigorous health. Doan's Kidney Pills make strong, healthy kidneys. F. D. Bailey, No. 329 Avery street, sub-mail carrier, says: "I slipped and fell on the ice injur ing my back and afterward I had steady pain across the loins and frequently sharp twinges. I tried to check the trouble by taking a number of medicines, but I receiv ed no lasting benefit from them. M y mother thought Doan's Kid ney Pill might help me, and got them for me at a drug store. They cured me." Sold for 50 cents a box by all dealers. Foster-Milburn company, Buffalo, N. Y., sole agents for the U. S. Remember the name, Doan's, and take no substitute. Quite a number have already signified their intention of being present, among them some of the best shots in the world. These experts, however, will not be al lowed to participate in the divis ion of the several purses, but will shoot for the price of targets only, their presence being for the pur pose of showing their goods and assisting in making the affair a success. The first to send word that he expected to be on hand was Ralph L. Trimble of Coving ton, Kv., who will represent the Winchester Repeating Arms com pany, of New Haven, Conn. While Mr. Trimble is conceded to be one of the best target shots in America he is also one of the most expert rifle shots the country has pro duced, and during his stay here will give an exhibition of this style of shooting, using one of the, Winchester people's latest pro ductions in the art of gunmaking. Mr. Trimble hits all sorts of Pain in Chest Sore Lungs Grip How easy It is to catch cold!
