The Stover well on the Slack lot in the Grandview, 0., pool, did not come up to expectations. When the pay streak was first tap ped it had every evidence of being a gusher, hut when drilled in Sat urday afternoon it only showed for a light producer. Other wells in this field will be completed in the very near future. The Stover well has given the territory a very black eye. The test well on the JJohn Thomas farm three miles west of Middlebourne, will be drilled in this evening or to-morrow morn ing. The Elk Pork Oil Company completed a test well on the Max-| well farm Sunday in the old Rock- 1 well field, just East of Next, and have a fine gas well. Its capac- J ity is estimated at 5,000,000 feet per day. The latest reports from the Grandview, Ohio, pool just pre vious to going to press this after- 1 noon, were to the effect that the well on the Baker lot of Smith Bros., had been drilled in and was! a 50 barrel producer. The Stover well on the Slack lot is also esti mated at 50 barrels per day. ARTISTIC JOB PRINTING.
