MeKenna.j who is home from Porto Rico, de clares the Yankee school maims are doing wonders for that for mer Spanish possession. The river was falling at a stage of 8 feet 6 inches at the Wheeling wharf last evening, and according to the present indications the stream will continue to fall for several days at least. A number of tow boats are on their way up tih'e river with empties, and it is likely that these will be com pelled to lay up until there is another rise in the rivers. Riv ermen do not believe that the riv er will recede to a damaging ex tent for packet traffic. The Lincoln District Sunday School Convention which conven ed in the Baptist church in this city yesterday morning, adjourn ed* last evening, and thlose in charge of the lm-Htingnvcmbmb charge of the Convention left for Bens Run this morning where meetings are being conducted. The Review will publish a gen eral report of the meetings held in the several districts of the conn ty just as soon as the report can be prepared.
