In the north east end of the district the South Penn Oil company has drilled in its No. 3 on the M. A. Wilson farm through the Berea grit and wil have a producer, good for 150 barrels a day. The same company has completed No. 6 on the Clark- Camden farm and has a show for a 10 or 20 barrel pro ducer in the same formation. In the Folsom district, Harrison county, the South Penn has com pleted its test on the T. B. Moore farm and the hole has Allied up 1,000 feet with the fluid. It will be given a shot and may improve. In the Salem district the same, company has give# its test on the 0. W. Ifaskins farm a shot and the hole has filled up 1.400 feet with fluid. It will make a small producer. The smne company is drlling in the Gordon at its test on the S. D. Williams farm, and the hole has filled up 2.000 feet with fluid. The Carter Oil company and Wilson have drill ed in their test on the G. K. Mar shall farm eight feet into the Gordon and have a show of oil. They are still drilling and expect another pay. In the Smithfield district, Wet zel county, the South Penn Oil company has drilled in its No. 7 on the J. L. Price farm 12 feet into the Gordon, and has a show for a good producer. Soon after the pay was tapped the well made three flows. The same company has drilled its test on the James Wade farm 14 feet into the Gor don and has a show for a small producer. No. 50 on the B. W. Peterson farm has been drilled 5 feet into the Gordon and has a very slight show of oil. There is more catarrh in this section of the country than all other diseases put together, and until the last few years was sup posed to be incurable.
