Assurance Given Board of Trade by Commissioners—Gives Pro ject New Life. To a committee from the Board of Trade the county commissioners gave assurances yesterday morning that the share of the county in the im provement of the Top Mill road would be forthcoming whenever the other parties interested were ready to pro ceed. The other sources from which contributions are asked are the City of Wheeling, the Pennsylvania rali road, the Wheeling Steel and Iron company and the Pan Handle Trac tion company. Karh one has been asked to give $6,000. and it is under stood that ail have consented with the exception of the railroad com pany. It will be recalled that a fund of $40,000 was raised a few years ago, but proved Insufficient to complete the work. With the consent of the county a certainty, the Board or Trade will row endeavor to clear away all remaining difficulties In the way of the project. Fourteen additional road supervis ors submitted bonds and qualified be fore the board yesterday afternoon. EXAMINATIONS For City Teachers Will be Held on Friday and Saturday. Announcement was made yesterday by Professor H. II. Work thnt examin ations for city tenchers will be con ducted on Friday and Saturday. May 5th and 6th. The exams, will start at 1:30 o'clock on Friday and the final examinations will be taken by the ap plicants on June 23d and 24th.
