KIRK GRATEFUL
At a late hour last night when the
retume Indicated an overwhelming vic
tory for Mayor Harvey L. Kirk, that
gentleman called th# Intelligencer, and
through Its columns desires to express
hls thanks and appreciation for the
handsome endorsement of hie candi
dacy. which he feels Is, in addition to
being a personal compliment, an un
qualified endorsement of hls adminis
tration. His gratification is more than
he can express, and he desires to thank
all who |n any way contributed to hls
re-eletcion.
TO THE VOTERS
The voters of Wheeling have my
heartfelt thanks for the manner In
which they expressed their confi
dence In me by electing me yester
day. As I have stated at all times
during the campaign, I will do the
duty that has been assigned me, to
the best of my ability and will give
the citizens of Wheeling an honest,
upright administration.
