Sufficient stock has been placed in the 'nands of trustees to acquire the balance. 1 PRESENT SITUATION OF THE COMPANY. The Southern Oil & Transport Corporation is now in control of (1) A large present production of oil ? 10,000 bbls. a day ? which can readily be Increased. (2) An enormous reserve territory ? 46 square miles ? all in the petroliferous zone, for future supplies. (3) River transport from the wells to the sea. (4) Port and river terminals, tank farms and Wnarfage facilities. (5) Ocean transport. (6) Shipyards planmed for building tank ships of 65.0Q0 bbls. capacity and barges of standardized design. The present issue of $15,000,000 has been underwritten, and this provides ample funds to enable the Company to push its plans into effect rapidly. EARNINGS The Southern Oil & Transportation Corporation plans to increase its production to 25.000 bbls. of oil a day and market. It. The estimated cost of oil delivery at Atlantic ports by Its own ships is -19.07 cents per bbl. Estimated annual protita, basing sales of the fuel oit at $1 per bbl. at Atlantic ports and relatively low prices for refined products are: 3,650,000 bbls. fuel oil, 50.95 cents per bbl., profit. . $1,858,945 3,650,000 bbls. refined products, 1.10 per bbl., profit. . 4,015,000 Local sales 180,000 $6,053,945 This would equal 51.90 per cent, on the $11,650,000 of issued capital. To allow for contingencies, however, the management estimates profits when the present plans are fully completed equal to 40 per cent. These profits are not based on the present highly favorable prices for fuel oil? $2.10 per bbl. ? but at $1 per bbl., a price that may be termed basic, as at that level it will displace coal at $3 a ton? and this means a stable market practically without limit. Messrs. Johnson SHuntlv state thai they believe this company will have no difficulty in maintaining a production of 25,000 bbls. of oil a day. Books to receive applications for shares at $8 per share will be opened MONDAY, OCTOBER 16th, 1916, at the offices of the undersigned and will be closed without notice. The right is reserved to reject any or all applications, or to allot less than the amount applied for.
