LEGISLATIVE PLANS Will BE DISCUSSED State Executive Committee of Con ference on Charities and Cor rections Meets Today. A legislative program will be con sidered at the meeting today of the state executive committee of the West Virginia Conference on Charities and Corrections to be held in Clarksburg. Mr. Albert E. Sinks, general secre ta'ry of the Associated Charities, of this city, will attend. For the past two weeks since the close of the conference held recently in Clarksburg, a committee has been i working on proposed measures for re forms to be submitted to the legisla-1 ture which convenes in January. The! committee has made a study of condi- 1 lions in other states. Wheeling has three members of the executive committee. Dr. C. A. Win gerter and Rabbi A. H. Silver are members and will' probably attend. TBY THOMPSON TODAY Warwood Holdup Last Case For Trial This Term of Court. John Thompson, a Warwood negro, will Ik- plured on trial in criminal court today on a charge of holding up Sam iviros in the hitter's store near the Uiehland mine several weeks ago ami relieving l'etros of a small amount of money. Two indictments were returner) against Thompson, one for carrying a revolver, the other for the alleged hold up. Thompson has already served two terms in the pen and if convicted today can be sent to prison for life under the habitual criminal act. The Thompson trial is the last sche duled for ll.is term of court and Judge Uobinson probably will adjourn court tomorrow. FIXE ATTACHMENT SUIT In circuit court yesterday afternoon. N'o action has been taken on the case, hut an affidavit tiled with the suits sets up a claim that Mo larski is about to withdraw his money front the South Side bamc and Jackson seeks to prevent it from being paid to him.
