Wedding Trip in Car.
Dayton to Wheeling in an open

" trip of a happy Dayton (Ohio) couple,;
' married here last evening.
Reaching this city, John C. Pierce and ;
Anna Rittich parked their Buick road-j

found their way to the office of County j
Clerk J. II. Wells where they applied!
for a license to wed. The bride-to-be |
was but nineteen years of age and had |
no written consent to marry John

girl's mother at Dayton. The mps<v~.<'
finally came from the mother giving'
her consent to the marriage and i..
required but a minute more lo issue
the license and send the happy couple
to find a minister.
Not satisfied to allow them to pass ;
< through Wheeling without some rec-j
ognition of the occasion, a popular,
young deputy sheriff and a newspaper!
scribe attached to their automobile:
while they were getting their license .
a goodly collection of tin cans, old '
shoes and such other 'wedding day ;
momentos as could be collected]
quickly. The principals to the cele-:

chine from this collection quite as j
much as did the groups of court house!
and city building employes who gath-:
ered at the windows to see thehi off,;
and when they finally drove away.:
congratulations and best wishes were'
shouted at them from a dozen win-j
