Kry, of Medford, Ohit?. was 'arrested last evening mi a charge u" forgery after- eiiy police and delee lives had been hot on his trail lor sev eral hours. Kry. said iu have been a former employe of the Huh. is accus ed of forging the name of J I. Slitiue horn, manager of that store, to several checks and passing them. lie was positively identified hy one man upon whom he had passed one of the checks and nit employe of another business house where lie attempted ? to dispose of another. ? ! After receiving several complaints, j'thal Kry was operating in the <,ity, literally trying to flood the city with I cheeks, police and detectives went on his trail. Throughout tin- late after noon and evening they learned that they had missed hint by only a few minutes. Shortly after nine o'clock last evening Patrolman George Hucn waid located him at the Urunhaus' restaurat.it on Market street at Elev enth, where he attempted to have :i check cashed. He promptly nailed him and look him to the lockup. ? Kry was taken to the Halt itpore and Ohio passenger station where he was identified by Night Ticket Agent Wil liam Ijouch. who had cashed one <.f tin- checks for $1". A little later an employe of the Wheeling Tire Works identified Kry as the man who had attempted to" have a check cashed there yesterday afternoon. Checks Found On Person. Among the papers found in Kry'.i clothing were two cheeks io which the name of H. Sonnehorn had been signed. These had not yet been pars ed. The police also have, possession of the check cashed by Mr. Lough. At the Wheeling Tire Works. Kry is said to have entered with a check in his hand and asked for an inner lube for one of the Hub's automobile trucks, representing himself to lie a driver for that, store, and offered the check in payment, asking for the dif ference in cash. Letters, street ear tickets and papers found among Kry's effects indicated that lie has recently been in both ['arkersbtirg, W. Va., and Cleveland. Ohio, and one letter addressed to hira at Parkersburg reads as thotigii ne bad been in trouble over a worthless check at Cleveland. A warrant charging him with forg ery probably will be sworn oiil ibis morning.
