kept it up for some time, as they
knew of the great calamity and
were mourning for their master."
The death of Ed Hatton.of this
city, only a few hours afte'r that
of Gen. Ross recalls the fact that
thev were togetherafew weeks ago.
and both contracted their last ill
ness while in Liberty countv in
their old hunting grounds. Mr.
Hatton died of intussusception,
but it is believed that the trouble
was caused by conditions brought
about while in camp,
