A sufficient contest affidavit having been
tiled in this office by Frank L. Wilson,
contestant, against homestead entry No.
17884, made August !21st. 1906, for the Lot 1 of
section 34. Township 32 North, Range 44 E
W. M., by Victor Haglund the heirs of Victor
Haglund, deceased, contestee, in which it
is alleged that said Victor Haglund never
established acutal residence upon said land
and that said Victor Haglund died upon the
29th day of November, 1906. That more than
six months has elapsed since the death of said
Vietor H aglund, to-wit, ten months, and that
the heir or heirs of said Victor Haglund are
unknown to affiant, and that they have not
established a residence; that the said heir or
heirs of the said Victor Haglund have not cul
tivated any part of said land nor placed any
improvements thereon at any time; that the
said heir or heirs of the said Victor Haglund
have wholly abandoned said land for more
than six months last past, and that there
are no improvemements on said land. Said
parties are hereby notified to appear, respond
and offer evidence touching said allegation at
10 o'clock a. m. on February 3,1908, before the
Itegister and Receiver at the United; States
Land Office in Spokane, Wash. a
The said contestant having, in a proper affi
davit, filed October2,l9o7, set forth facts which
show that after due diligence personal service
of this notice can not be made, it is hereby or
dered and directed that such notice be given

North, Range 5, W. B. M., by Joesph Potestio,
c ontestee, in which it is alleged that the said
Jeseph Potestio has failed to establish resi
dence thereon and has wholly abandoned said
tract and failed to comply with any of the laws
in reference to settlement, occupation and cul
tivation thereof, and that the said alleged
absence trom said land was not due to his em
ployment in the army, navy, or marine corps
of the United States, as a private soldier,
officer, seaman or marine during the war with
Spain or during any other war in which the
I'nited States may be engaged. Said parties
are hereby notified to appear, respond and
offer evidence touching said allegation at 10
o'clock a, m. on January 29,1908, before the Reg
ister and Receiver at the cnited States Land
Office in Coeur d'Alene. Idaho.
The said contestant having, in a proper affi
davit, filed Dec. 6,1907, set forth facts which
