BAUWIAN, Jeweler Vaccination Order Rescinded The Statu Board of Health lit a meeting hold in Kansas City, Monday of this weelt, rescinded its order adopted on December 5th, requiring all travelers to be vaccinated, commencing Decem ber lath. The board holds Unit conditions are. improveing owing to increased vaccination, but in sists that, the necessity of vac cination still exists and givys notice that in case of renewed outbreaks of small pox, "drastic notion" may bo taken. The prices for the three denominations will be $20, 8b0 and 800 which at maturity will yield $2.", 100 and 1,000, respectively. The limit of holdings lias been increased by tho Act of Con gress, approved November 2i, 11)21. from $1000 to $o()00 and it is now possible therefore to hold Treasury Certificates of any one series up to an aggregate matur ity, not exceeding $5,000. This change makes the Certificates attractive for tho investment of trust funds and surplus funds of labor, fraternal, church and similar organizations, which seek an investment of intermediate length, with absolute safety and a satisfactory income. The new certificates are redeemable be fore they mature at their cost, plus a!..' percent interest com pounded "semi-annually. The. new issue lias the hearty endorsement of President Hard ing as part of the Governmental encouragement to thrift. The new offering means that Postal Savings and Treasury Savings activities have been coordinated info one peace-time savings pro grain, under which the Post oflice Department and Treasury will join to advance Postal Sav ings Certificates for investment. The plan is designed to stimu late the accumulation of savings by accepting deposits in amounts of $1 or more through the Postal Saving Banks by offering Treas ury Saving Certificates on more attractive terms, in convenient denominations, both for direct; sale and on conversion of Postal Savings deposits. The small war time Treasury securities comprising the 2.") cent Thrill Stamp and the $.") War Savings Stamp are being discontinued, effective Decem ber :51st, 1921, but the Thrift Stumps outstanding will bo ac cepted at lace value for the new Treasury Savings Securities or will bo redeemed at face value in cash at pi stotUios.
