Mr. and Mrs. S. D. Leachman spent Saturday and Sunday at Lineville. ,M.r. and Mrs. J. E. Lentz were guests Sunday at the J. S. Beavers home. Mrs. Lucretia Giesseraan returned Sunday from a week's visit with friends at Clio and Lineville. Mr. and Mrs. George Bright, of near Lineville, were calling on friends in this vicinity Sunday. Mr. and Mrs. R. D. Lock wood spent Sunday with Mr. and Mrs. Roy Beavers. Mrs. N. S. Bsavers and Grace Rayn were having dental work done at Line ville Wednesday. The county bridge men have been doing some work west of here the past week. Mart and Myrtle Newlin aud Miss Sarah Coontz attended commencement at Lineville Thursday night the girls remained until Sunday visiting friends. Bright & Cox have installed the re frigerator which they purchased last •week of A. E. Northrup and are now pre pared to handle fresh meat. J. J. Farver departed Thursday for Grand Island,'Nebraska, where he was called by the severe illness of his son Charles. Mrs. H. D. Richardson is doing some improving on her house in the way of a new porch on the east and strengthing the foundation by cement blocks. Amy Adair returned to her home Sun day after a two weeks stay at the B. A. Rayn home. Bertha Smith is staying with Mrs. J. J. Farver during Mr. Farver'a absence to Nebraska. There will be preaching at the A. C. church Sunday morning and evening by the regular pastor, Elder J. J. Rnppert. P. B. Hutchinson and W. C. Beavers Tfere Leon callers Saturday. Mr. and Mrs. Harry Paxson and Guy Beavers were Lineville visitors Satur day. J. W. Wood and J. W. Beckwith were transacting business at Lineville Mon day. Latha Still returned home Friday from a few days visit with relatives at Garden Grove. Mr. and Mrs. J. W. King spent Sun day at the home of their daughter, Mrs. Zearl Bethards. Miss Hazel Overholtzer returned to her school at the Diamond Monday morning. Mrs. J. Foster who has been visiting her sister, Mrs. E. Brammer, returned to her home at Lineville Monday. Mrs. R. Hess, of St. Joe, is visiting with her mother, Mrs. Combs this week. Nellie Brennamen returned Saturday from Van Wert where she has been visiting the past week. Laura MeConnell came over from Van Wert Saturday. The band boys went to Hopeville Sunday to furnish music at the basket dinner held there. Marie McGraw returned Saturday from Elston after a short visit with friends and relatives of that place. Nina Palmer visited in the country lafct week. Zula Larson, of Nolten, is visiting her aunt, Mrs. Clay MeConnell, this week. Tressie. Brammer the little daughter of Mr. and Mrs. F. Brammer, while playing with a sharp pointed piece of iron last Wednesday let it fall running it through her foot making a very painful wound, but prompt medical aid was given and the wound is healing nicely. Mrs. David Snooks left Tuesday for Missouri for a visit with her daughter, Mrs. Minnie Hayes. Helen Bradshaw left Wednesday for Grinnell to visit her father, Wm. Brad shaw, of that place. Mabel Willis is visiting with her sister, Mrs. McGahuy, of near DeKalb, this week. E. Brammer and family and Mrs. J. Foster spent Sunday at the home of Joe Crees. Rev. Yelland preached the Baccalaur eate sermon at Elston last Sunday night. The probationers class •will meet on Friday evening now instead of on Mon day. Every one should attend the band concert given on Saturday nights. The boys are giving some fine music, you can't afford to miss. Mrs. W. B. Day and Mrs. D. Burham are visiting relatives in St. Joe this week. Clifford Dinnell, of Omaha, came Sat urday for a visit with friends. Mr. and Mrs. Morrill, of Black well, Okla., came Friday for a visit with the latters mother, Mrs. Baker. Roy Brammer had the misfortune to get his arm broken last Sunday. He was up in the hayloft throwing down hay and got too near the edge of the loft and fell breaking his arm. Alfred Brown, of near Osceola, visited at the home of his grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Wm. Green last week. Spray Bros, are having a cement floor put in the livery barn this week A. L. Ackerley was seen on our streets Monday. Possum Trot. Mrs. Lloyd Smith ard daughter were business callers at Weldon Monday afternoon. George Terry, of Weldon, did car penter work for Frank Worden Monday and Tuesday. Mr. and Mrs. Foust were business callers at Weldon Wednesday. Mr. Foust and two little granddaugh ters were calling at Frank Worden's Thursday Morning. Jane Haskill was calling on her sister May at Mr. Smith's one day the past week. Mrs. Ross Judd was calling on Mrs. Frank Worden Thursday morning. Oscar Judd, of Davis City, drove up Friday aud took dinner with his son Ross Judd and wife. Miss Helen Bradshaw^returned to her home at Grand River Friday after a two weeks' visit with her aunt, Mrs. Frank Worden. Lloyd Hensley and Mrs. Frank Wor den were business callers at Weldon Friday afternoon. Mrs. C. Meacham and daughter were Weldon callers Friday afternoon. Mrs. Perry Worden and Mrs. Roland Ball speat one evening the past week with Mrs. Arthur Worden. Lloyd Hensley was a business caller at Weldon Saturday afternoon. Mr. and Mrs. Ross Judd, Mr. and Mrs. Butler Wilson, Frank Fonst, Laren Likens, C. Meacham and son were busi ness callers at Weldon Saturday night. Uncle Joe Worden spent Sunday at Weldon and attended memorial services. Ira Worden and Lloyd Heasley spent Sunday at Frank Worden's. Mr. and Mrs. Swanson and daughter, of Weldon, were calling at Lloyd Smith's Sunday afternoon. Lloyd Smith and family were calling at Butler Wilson's Sunday evening. ..
