Coen and baby, who ar rived Monday from Afton, went to Murray the same afternoon to visit a few days, the rooms which they will occupy, not being ready for them. Mrs. G. A. Wood and sons, who had been: visiting at the home of her parents, Dr. and Mrs. W. F. Waight in this city, departed last Friday for their home in Washington, D. C. Mrs. J. H. Robinson, of Davis City, and her neice, Miss Dorothy Brandt, of Peoria, Illinois, went to Des Moines Thursday for a few days' visit at the home of her son, Dr. W. J. Rob inson. Mr. and Mrs. S. M. Teeters and son, Elmer, went to Davis City Saturday to visit a few days with relatives. They were accompanied by Mrs. Mary Ratliff, of Mystic, a sister of Mrs. Teters. Mrs. Anna Peters, who had been visiting at the home of her sister, Mrs. I. E. Evans in this city and with other relatives in this vicinity, re turned to her home in Kansas City Friday. W. A. Simpson, wife and daughter, Miss Marie, stopped off in this city Tuesday evening to visit at the home of her sister, Mrs. C. E. Hurst, while enroute home from a visit to Des Moines. Miss Mary Tierney, a trained nurse who was called here professionally in a couple of cases, visited over Sun day with the Penniwell family in this city, returning to her at Ottumwa Monday. Mr. and Mrs. Alex Hines returned last Thursday to their home at Petersburg, Illinois, after visiting a couple of weeks at the home of their daughter, Mrs. C. E. Leahy, near Blockley. James Hurst, Henry and John Minor and Ralph McGinnis went to £amoni Monday evening to be ready to get the first crack at the prairie chickens, the hunting season open ing Tuesday. Dr. George Bishop and wife, of Burley, Idaho,/Who are visiting with relatives at Humeston, came last Wednesday and visited a couple of days at th ehome of his sister, Mrs. J. C. Johnson in this city. Mr. and Mrs. C. M. Akes and Mr. and Mrs. E. G. Monroe motored to Des Moines Sunday morning to visit the state fair. They all returned Monday evening except Mr. Akes who is chief marshal of the fair. Mrs. C. G. Cline and daughter, Dorothy, went to Des Moines Satur day to visit a few days with relatives in that city. Mr. Cline drove up to Dos Moines Saturday in his car to spend a few days at the fair. Mrs. H. S. LoVett, of Garden Grove, was a visitor in this city last, Satur day, being accompanied by her friend, Miss Anna Farquharson, of Des Monies, who is visiting at the Lovett home for a few days. W.
