Mr. and Mrs. George Foland Sr. and Mr. and Mrs. Jefferson Grinnn made a business trip to Grand River, this week. Charles Hauestein, of Grand River, has traded his 90 acre farm for a store at Beaconsfield. lie has taken possession. Allen Pence, of Grand River will move on his farm west of Wester ville in the spring. Samuel Briner has moved on the John Hukill farm west of Grand River. Mr. Hukill has moved to Grand River and will work in tlie lumber yard with Ira Brown and Albert Spray. H. L. Brammer, George Ball, John Brown, Ransom Brown, Henry Jim merson, John Hoppins. Clyde llop pins are all working in the John West timber getting up a fine lot of wood they will have it sawed tip for their own use and save coal as it has been so hard to get. Mrs. Isaac Foland went Saturday to Van Wert to visit with her sister, Mrs. Benton Ramsey, and other friends a few days. Mr. and Mrs. James Munyon were visiting the past week with Mr. and Mrs. Pete McCarll. Miss Amy Brammer, of Wester ville, spent Saturday night with Miss Martha Brammer. Mrs. Raymond Morell is very sick at this writing having LaGripp. Mr. and Mrs. H. L. Brammer and family spent Sunday with Mr. and Mrs. Henry Jimmerson. Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Evans spent Sunday afternoon at Mrs. Lavina Jimmerson's. Franklin. We had quite a snow Friday. It looked as though old man winter had decided to linger a while longer. Mr. and Mrs. Jim Smith spent Sunday with the latter's parents, Mr. and Mrs. Nate Myers. Mr. and Mrs. Will Lewis and fam ily visited Sunday with Mr. and Mrs. L. D. Merrill and family. George Scott and family spent Sunday with Mrs. Wilse McCullough and family. Pete Christensen sawed wood Thursday. Those who have been on the sick list the past week are, Glen Petti cord, Pete Christensen and son, Lawrence, and Mrs. Wilse McCul lough and son, Carl. Mr. and Mrs. Frank Watson and sons, also John and Charlie Smith, and Ariel Knapp spent Sunday at the John Scott home. Ariel Knapp called on Willie Duf field Friday night. Tom Caskatt, who has been visit ing with relatives here departed Monday for his home in Missouri. Several persons have seen a lf in this vicinity during the past few days. That is quite an unusual in cident for this neighborhood. Carl Kendall delivered hogs at Crown Tuesday of last week. About fifteen of the young peo ple enjoyed a party at the Wm. Gib son home last Saturday evening in honor of Miss Willah Gibson, who is going to Denver, Colorado, to make her home. The evening was spent in music and games and refresh ments were served. Everyone de parted at a late hour and all report a delightful time. The tried sows were sired by A Big Bone, lie by Big Bone, he by A Wonder. 19 of the gilts are sired by the great boar, ^lillie's Jumbo, one of the best boars living. 14 gilts are sired by Weldon King, he from Mr. Wycoff's herd, as good a breeder as we ever owned.
