Starr, 1008 Moigan street. was arrested Sunday morning at 12:40 o'clock by Officers Tigue and Shepherd on'complaint of his daugh ter that he was drunk and troubling bis divorced wife. The ir formation as filed in the superior ocurt on Mon day morning contained the name of C. O. Stand in place of C. O. Starr. Starr paid the fine and costs at the police station and the money was later turned over to the superior court. It seems that there have been cases lately where informations against law violators ha-'e been filed under assumed names. The practice of .favoring any one individual over the others is disgusting to the public at large and one that police officers should not countenance. Recently a 'well known citizen was taken to the police station for a violation of the automobile rules and allowed to file a fictitious name. A few days later the police made aeveral arrests of well known citi zens their correct names were filed and appeared in the newspaper renort of police doings. Why does thepollce department adopt the rule of giving the real names of some citi zens and the incorrect ones of others? CARD OF THANKS. We wish to than*" the neighbors, friends and M. W.
