HE WAS ON JOB EARLY §/V^ ——r— ?V'* Ikfflobbery Was Discovered at 7 O'clock \i\~ and is Believed to Have Been Commltted Before 6:20 O'clock. The residence of M. F. Kins. Sr., 1327 Orleans avenue, was entered early last evening by some sneak thief, and while the family was at supper downstairs be ransacked the upstairs rooms and took a consider able sum of mcney. Members of the family did not dis cover the theit until 7 o'clock. The police were notified. The robbery is believed to have been committed some time between 5:30 and 6:20 o'clock. While the family were at supper a noise was heard toward the front of the house. When it was repeated an investigation was made and going to the front door one of the family saw a man standing on the porch. She thought he was going to ring the doorbell, and waited a minute. Then she called another member of the household, and by the time they both got to the door the man was gone. They thought it was someone who had come up on the porch to in quire his w.iy and dismissed the matter from ti-eir minds. At seven o'clock when one of the members of the family went up stairs, it was found that the rooms had been ran sacked. A roll of money belonging to Mr. King, had been taken. In the other rooms the thief had picked up money in pocketbooks. On investigation it was found that the sneak tbief had opened a win dow and screen on to the roof of the porch, ovidently to make his get away if disturbed in his prowl.ng. There is little clue as to the man's identity beyond the fact that be wore a cap and dark clothes, dow and screen on to the roof of The amount taken as reported to the police was over $100.
