The Elder is an entertaining and
fluent speaker,his hearers all speak
ing well of him as an orator.
A nephew of Ben Jensen arrived
here Monday direct iroin the fath
erland also a family consisting of
husband, wifeand two children,who
are relatives of Jens Kjargaard of
south west Hamlin township.
B. U. Wilson is still at work on
thejlinishing of his new house both
inside and out so that when the
weather becomes favorable for out
side labor it won't take him long to
complete it so it can be occupied.
Chris Hansen, who last year
traded the Old (Jransberry property
in West Exira for a farm and moved
thereto, has tired of a life on the
farm and has moved back to to
town and rented a part of the hotel
in that part of the city.
Otto Whittauer was busy nearly
every day last week clerking sales
in different parts of the county.
Being personally acquainted with
so many people in the south part of
the county makes hie services
eagerly sought for, by those having
public sales.

Atlantic has decided to replace
the condemned water works boiler
with a new one and the Canning
factory will put in a wagon dump
to expedite the unloading of corn
at the factory, says the Democrat.
The MiB6es Shannon and Case
went to Atlantic Friday evening to
pass the next day with friends.
They are excellent teachers and as
for sprinters—well you should have
seen them light out for that train
when they heard the whistle but
they made the run and caught it
but just in time.
