Hans Mortensen delivered a carload of fine porkers at Hamlin Monday. Hans raises some fine hogs. It is rumored around this week that we will have a change in pro prietors in the pool hall soon. Mrs. George Robertson has been on the sick list the past week, but much improved at the present writing. Mr. and Mrs. Hans Aagaard spent Sunday out at the home of their par ents, Mr. and Mrs. M. E. Mortens Nels Mortensen sold six maun l spreaders last week. Now watch for a big crop of coru around here next year. Robert Garnett, our postmaster has been ailing the past few weeks but is able to get around to attend to his duties. John Mulgaard was in town Sun dap driviug his new auto. It looks like a ueijt little car and John is proud of it. Nels Mortensen bad hia men out at Fred Aveys' Monday and Tuesday installing a water system and erect iug a windmill. Charley Nelson was a pleasant cal ler in Ilamlin Sunday, having come to spend the day with his brother Victor and wife. J. E. Hartshorn started a lunch counter and restaurant Saturday in the building formerly occupied by the meat market. L. C. Lauridsen departed Tuesday lor a trip to Alberta, Canada. He says he is just going to see that much talked about land. A letter received lately from F. Shifiet statgs that they have got set tied in their new home and feel like they are living again. Mrs. George Motey and her two youngest daughters departed Mon day for Goodwell, Oklahoma and in tend to make their heme this winter Mrs. J. II. Jones was quite badly hurt in a runaway accident Sunday having had a bone fractured in one of her hips and one rib broken. Late re ports say she is getting along aicely.
