A bazaar was held last Saturday by Woman's Aid Society at the Col lege Auditorium. The bowling alley is nearly com pleted and will be ready for business later part of this week. Fritz Petersen came up from At lantic last week and is now working for his brother, the baker. J. Jorgensen and gang have been busy the last week painting for Chris Mortensen west of Kimballton. kjJohn Jensen and Jens Norre went out hunting Sunday afternoon and shot quite a number of rabbits. Oscar Nelson, carpenter returned from the country Friday and is now done with his work for this year. Magnus and Willie Wiges returned from Coulter, Iowa where they have been working the last few months. Mrs. H. P..Petersen went to Oma ha last Monday to do some Christ mas shopping, returning again Satur day. Mrs. C. J. Hansen of Atlaatic re turned to her home again Friday af ter a week's visit here with relatives and friends. Carl Hansen, brother of C. J. Han sen, Baker of Atlantic, came up last Wednesday to attend College here this winter. The College Society (Danebod) held heir first Literary Friday eve ning. It was attended by a large au dience who all seemed to enjoy the presentation, especially the debate: "That the French Revolution did more good than harm." While Carl Christensen was re turning from Kimballton Monday evening hia auto slid and turned over when turning the corner north of Elk Horn. On account of the closing of the Audubon High School the pupils from here attending came home for a two week's vacation a week earlier than expected. Friday noon a couple of our young men got into an argument which they theu tried to settle in the mid dle of the street which resulted in a bloody nose for one of the Gentle men—? Rev. S. Jorgemens who two weeks ago returned from a trip to Denmark and was ordained Sunday, Dec. 3 left for Dagmar, Montaua where he tabes up his duties as minister on Christ mas Day. On the way up north he will slop at Tyler, Minnesota to visit his brother, Rev. H. Jorgensen. The Young People's Society held their semi-monthly meeting Sunday afternoon. As entertainment a lecture was given by Rev. S Jorgenseu. Tne business part of the meeting resulted in the election of several Christmas committees, one to tend to the Christ mas tree and one to arrange for a Christmas parly.
