She is teaching in the Audubon Schools this year. Mr. John Saha of Cedar Rapids visited a few idays last week at the home of his brother-in-law, Mr. Jake Engle and wife. M)r. Kirk Ktnox went to South Da kota last Monday to visit a fey days at the home of his brother, Mr. Grant Knox and family. Mr. Peter Jorgensen, book-keeper at the E. D. Mr. James Nelsen returned home last Thursday afternoon from Mon tana where he had been working the past few months for his brother. David Dutler of Audubon town ship visited from Saturday .until Tuesday at the home of his daugh ter, MTS. Mr. and Mrs. Pete Christensem and son and Mr. and Mrs. Ed Mil liman and chUldren visited at the Hansen, home six miles southeast of town, one day last week. Mr. and Mrs. Sam Randies left for Audubon Saturday afternoon to visit a few days with relatives and old acquaintances, before returning to their home in Colorado. 5 Mrs. S. Spoo and son, William and wife, Charles Porter and Wm. Voss attended the Cass County Fair, last Thursday afternoon, making the trip in the former's auto. Word was received here last week that Mrs. Mary Tlodd died at the home of her son in Crister, So. Dakota. Mrs. Todd was formerly a resident here some years ago. Mr. Marshall Smith arrived in Ithe ciity last Thursday to visit his son, Hugh Smith and wife, and also on business, returning to his home, in Shelby, Sunday aftennoon. Mr. J. A. .McLaughlin came over from Guthrie Center last Thursday on busfiess, returning home in the evening. Mr. McLaughlin Is Secre tary of tie Guthrie County Fair, this year Mr. Wm. Edwards of Guthrie Cen ter was over one day last week transacting business and while here ave the Joumal Office a pleasant call. We are always glad to meet with our old frifods. Mr. John Peterman Is in Atlantic assisting his son, Lester, with h'.s carpenter work. Mr. and Mrs. Pe terman will move their household goods this .week to that place, where they will make their home. Mr. and Mrs. Ed Wahlert return ed home last Sunday evening from Woolsey, "South Dakota where they (had been, visiting the past ten days iwith his Bister, Mrs. Roy Wlhite, and brother, Fred Wahlert and family. Mr. Arthur Hansen, clerk at the Nels Hansen Drug Store, .went to Anita Saturday evening to visit at the home of his parents Mr and Mrs Hans Hansen, who reside near that ciity. He returned to his work here Tuesday morning.
