ART II The object of this In^tituti sh?ll be, th" improve ment of its members ro chesrience ©f teaching, and in the most ap proved practice tlw diffusing of information upon the sy&tcm of Common Srhool Education amo*g the people, and promoting har mony of feeling and the greatest possible advancement in scientific and general information ART. III. ART. IV. The regular meet ings of this Institute shaii b held twice in each year at such times and place* as shal be fixed by tne Executive Committee. ART. V. The regular officers of this Institut- shVii be a President, three Vicc-Presidcnts, a Secretary, and Assistaut Secretary, a Treas urer, an Auditor, and an Execu tive Committee, and shall be el-.-cted annually on tlie first day the first session in each year. ART VI It shall be the dut\ of the President, and in his ab acno1, a Vice-president, to preside at all meetings -of the Institute, decide points of order, preseive due deceium, and regulate the exercises according to a pro gramme furnished him by the Institute. \IIT. VII. It shall be the duty of tu-o, Secretaries to keep a faithful record of the proceedings of the Institute, take down an certincite* of membership. ART VIIL It shall bo the ART ART X. It shall be the duty of the Executive Committee to designate the time and place for holding the Institute,—give at least three weeks' previous notice of the same through the co nty papers or by hand-bills, and se cure the services of competent lecturers, instructors, essajists, and lingers for conducting the exercises.
