A FARMERS IDEA OF ROOSVELT
David Rankin has the credit of be
ing the most extensive individual
farmer in the United States He owns
fourteen farms in Missouri which
contain about 22000 acres of land
in all He personally supervises the
operations of all aided by a resi
dent foreman In summer he em
ploys as many as 700 hands in the
field and uses from 200 to 250 horses
for the various divisions of farm
work He raises corn by thousand
acre patches and in a single year has
sold 8000 hogs and 7500 cattle of
his own raising Mr Rankin stands

the vicinity of his farm property

do whats right Hes fair He isnt
trying to break trusts for politica
effect So far as it is legal and right
he will prevent their abuses Thats
all anybody should aslt him to do

the mutter with Roosevelt Has
anything gone wrong Has it been
necessary to issue bonds to pa the
running expenses of the goverment
Is there any money in the treasury
Has the souphouse asserted its su
premacy since the palmy days of
Grover Has Theodore Roosevelt
betrayed any trust reposed in him
or has he manifestedany symptoms
of spinal affection Has the so
called Democratic party advanced
any assurance to the American peo
ple that they are not anymore pro
ficient in the twentieth century than
they were in the nineteenth Can
they satisfy the honest industrious
producing citizens of America that
they seek for anything but to again
grasp the surplus and again empty
the treasury as they have on every
previous opportunity
