Ihe above article was handed
us with the request that we pub
lish it wlych we gladly do We
have always contended that it is
the duty of our citizens to buy
from home merchants when they
can suit themselves and if they
would make a practice of buy
ing from them the merchants
would put such stock before them
that they could not help but be
pleased
We have observed that there
are as th merchant states
numbers of our citizens who go
away to purchase their wearing
apparel and yet these same par
ties depend lupon the home peo
ple for their sustenance This
is a bad practice and we trust
that every citizen of JJarbour
ville will resolve that as for mo
I will buy my clothing groce
ries and every thing in that line
from Barbourviile merchants
who invite our patronage through
the columns of our local paper
